Digital Cordless Phone With Better Privacy And More Features
By Joan Kickosawa
Have you ever gotten the feeling someone was listening in on
your telephone conversations? Were you surprised and concerned
that a neighbor somehow has acquired private information about
you that you have never publicly divulged?
It could be that someone is listening in on your cordless phone
system and cell phone conversations. Those technologies can be
particularly vulnerable to eavesdroppers. Radio scanners can allow
others to easily listen in on analog phones and some cell phones.
Better Security With A Digital Cordless Phone
A digital cordless phone may be the answer to your questions
and concerns. They not only provide the privacy and security you
require, they come with a laundry list of cool and very useful
functions. A digital cordless phone is a heavy-weight when it
comes to security, features and functionality. They are on the
cusp of pushing analogue models off the market.
They provide better sound quality and encrypt your conversation,
so eavesdropping isn't likely to be an issue (unless someone has
access to a high-tech scanner such as those used by the military
or government) - particularly important if you use your credit
card over the phone. Digital technology encrypts your voice messages,
scrambling them into basic computer speak, which makes it almost
impossible for people to eavesdrop on your calls.
Less Interference And Better Voice Quality
Stronger, clearer frequencies mean less interference and better
voice quality, and wide bandwidths mean you can be as far as a
mile from the base unit. While manufacturers are reluctant to
specify exact ranges, they claim that digital cordless phones
have a range four to seven times greater than the 300-to-500-foot
range of standard analog cordless phones.
Panasonic and Casio say their models provide a range of up to
4,000 feet under optimum conditions. Although variables such as
metal buildings can affect reception, the 900 MHz frequency is
not affected by computers, microwaves or other electronic equipment.
Some of the fun features of these phones include built-in answering
machines with remote message pickup from the handset, call waiting,
caller ID and two-way paging, and speaker phones built into the
base that allow users to send and receive calls if the handset
is elsewhere.

More Features With A Digital Cordless Phone
Options like distinctive ring tones, a dual battery system, keypad
on the handset and the base unit, two-way paging, improved life
of cordless phone batteries, and walkie talkie functionality are
so useful; you may not know what you did without them. You can
even sync bluetooth phones with your digital phone through wireless
broadband data transfers.
By using a digital cordless phone, you can ensure that both your
personal and business calls remain private conversations that
only you and the person to whom you are speaking have knowledge
of and access to.
In this culture of identity theft and vindictive personal attacks,
taking the steps necessary to ensure the least amount of exposure
as possible is an absolute necessity. The incredibly diverse features
available are just icing on the cake for a digital, cordless phone
system.

Did You Know This About Cordless Phones?
The invention of the phone was a great day for everyone. Suddenly
now people could communicate almost instantly with someone else
on the other side of the world. The boards were lit up with callers.
Over the years many improvements were made to the phone.
The cordless phone being one of these inventions. It once again
changed how people communicated. People could talk while walking
around the home or office. Times may have changed models and now
you have even more options to choose from when it comes to phones.
