Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate Computer Software Web Tips Guide
Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate Has All The Features
By Joel Wannamaker
It was not just big corporations or computer gurus that were
waiting and whispering about the newest baby, known as Microsoft
Vista. If you knew anything at all about computers or even if
you had only heard about this particular Windows update, then
you knew about this arrival.
Once it arrived and customers had the chance to use it, did Microsoft
Windows Vista Ultimate live up to its name? Is there anything
overly special about this edition? In keeping up with Windows
news, PC users were told that this was the most complete edition
of the Windows operating systems, with the extra security and
its mobile features that would be needed for work, plus all of
the entertainment features.
Windows Vista Ultimate Has Everything You Need To Work And Play
Even though there are other versions, such as Windows Vista Home
Basic, Vista Home Premium and Windows Vista Business, Vista Ultimate
was touted as the one to have, in order to have it all, including
the ability to flow between both play and work. It claimed that
you would never feel concerned about needing additional capabilities
because they were all included in this Ultimate edition.
So far, it seems that out of the Vista editions launched, Microsoft
Windows Vista Ultimate scores the highest points based on its
features, performance and compatibility. A few of the many features
include an ad hoc backup and recovery system, Internet Explorer
7, instant search, Windows e-mail, Firewall, etc. One of the best
features is the Vista service support; you can automate a solution
through execution of a script on the FAQ’s.
Most Of Your Existing Hardware Will Not Work Completely With Vista
There are pros and cons to every business endeavor and Microsoft
is no different. Windows Vista in general and Microsoft Windows
Vista Ultimate specifically, have both as well. Perhaps, one of
the sorest spots is the fact that most of your existing hardware
will not work with Vista.
You would have the ability to search files, but you will not
enjoy the full effects of 3D Aero or smooth streaming graphics
on your desktop, unless you upgrade your PC. On the plus side,
you will be able to create and search virtual files, as Microsoft
has incorporated a search feature throughout the system.
Searching For Documents On Vista
For example, you can review your options and search for all documents
authored by a particular person and then save the search, making
it a virtual file that you will be able to recall without having
to physically make copies of those files.
If you are used to your laptop lasting on a long cross-country
flight, then you may want to reconsider that upgrade, especially
if you are running Vista Aero, as it tends to really eat the battery
power so you may not want to opt for 3D.
