you will experience very slow lag times and your avatar will have

and have a 512 MB of memory or better to run.

Secondlife does not require that you purchase a membership plan.
The Basic membership package comes free of charge, but you will
not be able to own any land. That means that you will not be able
to buy or sell any land for profit.

may want to consider upgrading to a package that allows you to
be a land baron.
