Social Networks Keep Friends In Touch

By Christine Wales

Social networks such as Facebook and MySpace are changing the face of the entire world. Once it would have been almost impossible to have a list of friends from another country unless you either lived there or wrote a lot of letters that took days to receive.

With the internet, it is now possible to touch people's lives thousands of miles away. You can quickly become friends and have an entire network of people with whom you are in contact with each and every day, via Facebook or MySpace.

It can be hard forming social networks if you are working full time or have lots of responsibilities, such as family and school. You still need positive interaction with the rest of the world and to be able to communicate with friends. Facebook is helping people achieve this through their messaging system.

Connecting With People Around The World

Anyone can find friends across the planet and create their own social network. It may be about a love of writing or parenting. You are not alone in your life anymore. You can connect with others who share your passions.

Once the Facebook login has been completed, you are whisked away to your very own portal on the World Wide Web. Your profile allows you to share stories, upload your latest pictures and even find friends from your past. You can communicate through your profile anything that has been going on in your life in the form of blogging. Write about anything that you wish to write about. It is your life and you can be as open as you wish to be.

One of the best features of the Facebook software is that you never have to download or pay for anything. You can download their latest chat mechanism but it is totally free. The hardest part of using Facebook for your social networking is going to the website, which is www.facebook.com.

Find Friends And Share Stories On Facebook

Simply create a profile with a valid email address and you are on your way. The minimum age to join is thirteen but other than that there are no restrictions. You do not even need network knowledge in order to participate in the Facebook world. It is web based software that even young teenagers can use quite well.

Facebook is an excellent way to find friends, share stories and vent about the things in your life. It is a safe release that allows you to connect with other people who may be having the same problems.

Facebook can also bring you closer to your children and family. You are able to see who your child is chatting with and see what their interests are. It is not spying but it is monitoring. Even if you are creating social networks of your own, it is good to be able to see what other people are doing with their lives.

Give Me Just The Social Media Facts.....

What is Facebook?
Facebook is a social networking site. It was originally used only by Harvard students after creator Mark Zuckerberg devised a way for classmates to talk to one another and stay in touch with each other. Many people all over the globe use this networking site as a way to make new friends or stay in touch with old friends.

Though it was created after MySpace, it recently surpassed MySpace in users and visitors. It is estimated that there are over 300 million people that are using this site. But Facebook has not always had it easy. In some countries the site is banned because the government is afraid that it will be used by insurrectionists. Though people in more liberal countries might laugh at this notion, it is a real issue that people in Syria and Iran face.
